Because we have no scientific purpose with this site we did not worry about the validity of the many species. There may have been a lot of unnecessary splitting. We simple give here all the pictures of shells in our collection that may please you, mainly using the "Atlas of Florida Fossil Shells", written by Professor Edward Petuch in 1994. For the smaller species and for the Bivalvia we used "Pliocene Mollusca of southern Florida" by A.A.Olsson and A.Harbison in 1953. A big part of our collection was identified by professor Petuch.

We visited Florida 9 times and spend in total some 200 days looking for fossil shells. Without the help of many friends however, our collection would not have developed so nicely. We mention only Mr. Ray Stuit from Sarasota. He helped us in many ways and donated us a lot of specimen.
