MISSISSIPPI: Cretaceous

Due to the kind help of David Dockery we could visit several sites. The cretaceous deposits in Mississippi are even better for the shell collector then the sites in Tennessee. The conservation of the shells is very good, but the species are mostly fragile and the deposits hard. It is therefore difficult to get undamaged specimen. A lot of specimen are still in need of identification.
